About Us & Our Programs

Florida Crown Workforce Board is in the business of matching job applicants in need of competitive and sustainable work with employers seeking qualified, skilled labor.

Vision: We are dedicated to a level of service that meets the highest private-sector standards.  We attain this measure by providing workforce services to improve the quality of jobseekers, youth, and through enhancing the competitiveness of employers in our region.

Mission: It is the mission of the FCWB to effectively direct all resources and services under its jurisdiction to provide a skilled and ready workforce that meets the demands of the region's employers as well as meeting job market demands in support of the state's workforce development strategies.

Florida Crown has four One-Stop service centers providing services for Region 7 (Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist and Union Counties). Florida Crown's One-Stops are operated by:
Arbor Education & Training (http://www.arboret.com/) which manages the Welfare Transition (WT)(http://www.floridajobs.org/PDG/wel_trans.html),
and Workforce Investment Act (WIA) (http://www.floridajobs.org/PDG/wia.html) program which provides services to adults, dislocated workers and youth ages 14-21; while providing oversight of Navigator, Priority Reemployment Planning (PREP), and Veteran's Education and Training Services (VETS) (http://www.floridavets.org/).
