FCWB has a strong Veterans’ service team in place that has taken the lead role in facilitating Project ENABLE (Enhanced Network Assistance Bringing Learning and Employment) by coordinating planned strategies with FCWB’s One-Stop Career Center Managers and other One-Stop partners to provide a priority of services to disabled veterans. FCWB utilizes and participates in locally developed events such as Veterans Job Fairs, Veterans' Day Parades, Veterans/Military Appreciation Days, Employer Seminars, Stand Downs, etc. to advocate the employment of disabled veterans. FCWB continues to promote the President’s National Hire Veterans Committee (PNHVC) and Hire Veterans First (www.hirevetsfirst.gov) Web site, an access portal for both employers and veterans. We utilize and partner with all economic stakeholders in the Region regarding the employment of disabled veterans, i.e. Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development units, State and RWBs, One-Stop Operators, Unions, Human Resource Associations, Professional Organizations, educational institutions, training providers, etc.
